Conversations Matter More than Clicks


Philosophy is back into vogue, yet it never lost relevance. From Greek philosophia (φιλοσοφία), it means “love of wisdom.” When we say philosophy, we mean the study of general and fundamental questions about existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind, and language. The questions are often posed as problems to be studied or resolved. But if we stop at the word “problem,” our progress gets stuck. It takes practice to steer clear of our own biases and assumptions when asking questions to learn things. Much of the work we do to advance our understanding is through conversation.
